About the customer

Since 2004 Mail Order Service JCS has represented the QUELLE brand in Russia. The company supplies QUELLE goods to Russia. Since 2009 it has been part of the German mail-order company Otto Group.

About the project

The company aims to maintain a high level of service to its steadily and rapidly growing clientele. Cutting the time spent on processing incoming purchase orders was a priority dictated by the necessity of meeting the stated terms of service as to the time of order delivery. The company was receiving over 1,200 orders daily, filled in by hand and sent by mail. It required a solution that could scan large quantities of such orders, sort them automatically, extract data out of them, and send them on for further processing. In answer to this need the Cognitive Forms system was chosen to automate the capture of the paper documents.

The results achieved

The utilization of the Cognitive Forms technology in the system of automated order processing allows cutting the expenditure of time at least by half, which enables a quicker dispatch of goods to customers. The solution also allows safeguarding against accidental mistakes due to manual operation, which are inevitable when the data contained in orders are entered by hand, the error probability being in this way reduced to a minimum of at most 0.4% for a capacity of 10,000 pages per week.
