Renaissance Insurance Group

Automation System for Entering and Processing Packages of CMTPL Documents

About the customer

Renaissance Insurance Group is one of Russia’s leading insurance companies. Its financial stability and solvency are attested to by its having the highest, A++, grade in the reliability rating of insurance companies published by the rating agency "Expert RA." The rating as well as the fact of its authorized capital, which totals 2,1b rubbles, being one of the largest in the insurance market ensures the timely and complete discharge of its responsibilities.

About the project

The project entailed the creation of a system for integrated processing of packages of CMTPL documents and for exporting the data contained therein into the client’s information systems. The package of documents to be processed included an application, CMTPL policy, passport, driver’s license, etc. The adopted sequence of processing envisaged that documents were to be scanned on the spot, while their processing and registration in the enterprise operating system was to be done by operators at the operational management center.

The technological cycle consisted of the following elements:

  • batch scanning;
  • identification of document type;
  • checking a package of documents for completeness;
  • recognition of documents;
  • treatment of documents by systems of context and logical verification;
  • verification of results of recognition by an operator (who, if necessary, checks the results of the recognition process and approves their entry);
  • export of data and image files.

Once processing is over, the data contained in packages of documents are entered (exporter) into various workflow information systems and the client’s electronic archive.

The results achieved

The project resulted in the emergence of a system that enabled the comprehensive processing of CMTPL documents and export of the data contained therein into the customer's information systems. The set of documents for processing included the following: application, insurance policy, passport, driver's license. This led to a doubling of the number of documents processed by one operator.
